It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

No, I’ve not gone mad, and the Christmas tree is still in the loft. But I will be doing something festive very soon, as I’ve been chosen to write a piece for the 26 Children’s Winters exhibition at the Museum of Childhood.

26 are a non-profit organisation who are keen to show just how diverse and fantastic writing is. I first spotted them at the Edinburgh Literary Salon, promoted by the lovely Sara Sheridan, and the sales pitch clearly worked since I’m now a member. (Here’s my profile, if you’d like to add me…)

The 26 pieces will all be ‘sestudes’- 62 words long, 26 in reflection- and will be online in December and available to view at the museum from the 23rd October through till the 31st March 2016. The exhibition will be raising money for It’s Good 2 Give, in case you needed another reason to come along.

Now I just need to wait with bated breath and see what object I’m assigned. I wonder if it’ll be something from the 80s…

Who remembers tapes, eh kids?
