Yes, it’s been a month since I posted. Illness is a bitch. But I’m back on track, and I have a bee in my bonnet about something I’ve spoken about before a few times. Hang on to your hats (and wallets).
I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and with certain review-based scandals doing the rounds, now’s as good a time as any to get it off my chest. (Brace yourselves.)
And so, Blogmas continues, with today’s question ‘from where have you recently drawn writing inspiration?’…
I seem to be 20,000 words into this year’s Camp NaNoWriMo and haven’t given up in frustration. If you’re very (un)lucky, I might do what I’ve done in previous years and post an unedited extract of the monstrosity. For now, here’s what I’ve discovered, as I limp through the notorious second week…
Where did the time go? It’s nearly July, so that must mean it’s time for another harebrained NaNoWriMo project. This time, it’s *drumroll*… a contemporary YA.
I’ve been sitting on this post for the past couple of weeks, but I think it’s time I stuck my brass neck out again and said a few things on the dreaded topic of money, since it seems to keep coming up on social media.
I love the BBC. Really, I do. They make some cracking programmes, and they champion new writers on both radio and TV. The thing is, though, they’ve started making some proper drippy nonsense recently, and top of the heap is recent offering London Spy. Several Twitter pals asked me to write something about it, so behold, some words and stuff. May contain moping.
